(no subject)

So, pobowhatsername is trying hard to learn to read and write. One of her shows presented a group of letters to fit into a word puzzle, "E L S K" and she fricking said "elsk!" so from the coldest possible start spot, with a fake word, she read.

holy fucking shit, right?

and then we were playing the label game for really the first time and she gave both hq and z the right labels, and then started making labels, and made a "I <3 U" label that was pretty legible, and gave it to z, and made a label for her baby that had a clear b and a anyway.

I guess this is when hq started an interest in prereading games like this, right around 3.5, but it feels like it came on all in a hurry this time.

totally unrelated, but there are now at least three or shows geared at preschoolers that make me think slightly inappropriate thoughts, either because of, like, eyecandy and drummer chicks (see icon), or my slash goggles not switching off on nick jr. (see the damn upside down show/umbilical brothers) and A: it feels kinda wrong, B: the lack of fic for such makes me feel even worse, because, yeah, srs, I AM the only one slashing them.

but how is it wrong to slash these guys?

how can you not?

I entirely approve of slashing those two. Not like the kids are going to read it.

Also, I'm going to market a microphone shaped like a hairbrush. The bristles will function as the windscreen fuzzy.

(I used to put random letters together and ask my mom if they spelled anything. I thought for sure I would hit on something but all she ever said was no honey that doesn't spell anything. I don't know how persistent I was but I know I did it more than once. I bet if I'd had a cooler mom she'd have said yes! That spells ptifg!)

We have kids in this household who love the Upside Down Show, and I have to admit, those two guys seem pretty slashable.

Yep. I looked them up a few months ago after seeing them on all the time just so I knew what was going on.

They're pretty talented. And agile.

Good thing they're not bio-brothers: can you imagine trying to parent both of them simultaneously?

I've only watched the top one ... yet. It is hilarious! I agree with you, how can you not slash them? About two minutes into the one I watched, the two men are leaning up against a door (what is it with their obsession with doors?), and were spooning. It looked like they were making love and ready to walk into the bedroom. The one with the striped shirt had the best moves, in my opinion, and many of them were downright sexy! I need more time before I can watch the second. Very funny, and fun to watch. Thanks.

I bet the slash is out there. I remember when the yellow Wiggle left, there was a great outcry among the mommies, and someone sent me fic about how he'd gone off to be a porn start. It may not get posted in any of the usual places is all.

I am only saved from slashing the UpsideDownShow guys by the fact that one of them is a dead ringer for my brother, and ew.
