whew

I was honest to god worried that i would wake up today and all the good shit from yesterday would have been a dream. But no, I got up and there was a message on my phone from the landlord confirming we can have the keys tomorrow, an email from the fairy godmother friend clarifying her intent on the great kindness, and my story idea is still there. Also, looks like the car we're selling for a friend is going today, knock on wood, and our cut for selling it gets us on top of the remaining security deposit.

I AM SO OVERWHELMED BY THINGS GOING SO RIGHT FOR A MINUTE, I KEEP LOOKING FOR A CATCH. I feel like someone is going to pull the rug out from under me any second, and I'll be right back where I was.

How do I suddenly deserve this kind of good luck, and good friends? I could cry.

When good luck things have become very rare it's hard to not be scared it's all a dream. I know this from the experienced gut.

I'm so glad for you, that things are breaking right for a change. Long may this trend continue!

Love, C.

Yay for good things! I do know what it is like to be always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I don't trust good to stay good for more than a minute or two. Hope you can relax into your current surplus of happy, though; you certainly deserve it.

I know how hard it is when you've had a string of bad luck to not look askance at life when it bestows blessings upon you. Just try to enjoy what is hopefully a better and happier new chapter for you and your family. I know that for me, having actually experienced the worst of the worst makes all the other bad stuff trivial and allows me to find the good more optimistic side of things a little easier.
