that if you try to bring up kids being harrassed and assaulted for not conforming to gender standards that it has to immediately get turned into horrible stories about how straight gender conforming kids get bullied too? And to bitch about how the schools look the other way about bullying rather than about how society is now training 6 yr olds to police other people's gender presentation with violence?

Because I thought I was pretty clear what I was trying to bring up, but everyone on facebook decided I wanted to talk about responses from schools about general bullying. And I've been made of anxiety since like thursday? at least? So I'm unreasonably pissed off at the derail here, maybe.

And it's like, all they saw was the school being half ass about bullying, because that's the part they could relate to their lives, not the part that was a sign of how busted the culture is.

And like, I get that they saw it was a story about bullying that the school played down, so wanted to share how their kids had experienced that, but that's not fucking news.

And now one of them, my old roommate and the only one of z's exes who I really do not like, is now arguing that the culture as a whole does not teach kids to be intolerant, but instead all the media is pushing acceptance of alternative lifestyles. SHE ACTUALLY TYPED THAT SHIT OUT. and I'm like "This is why I have not spoken to you in like 18 years other than to ask about your kids, you fucking asshole" but I didn't say that. Actually my main reasons I stopped talking to her had to do with how she manipulated people and was pretty much evil. but her politics factored in.
