so, late night talk is more of a boyzclub than I thought. I knew it was a lil too boys only for me to be watching it, but I didn't realise there was literally 0% women writing for those boys

There's a definite sense in the chatzone that women can't bring the funny. Then you get the women who have their own shows (like Chelsea Lately) and they kind of confirm it. (Chelsea isn't funny, IMO, she's just crude and crass, and frat guy types laugh, I think most women cringe. Much the same as Joan Rivers when she had her late night talker nearly 25 years ago.)

This is why Tina Fey is such an anomaly. And why Marika Sawyer, Jessica Conrad Paula Pell and Emily Spivey are never going to be known quantities, on the same weird old boys network rules that have made it 25 years and counting since a woman was on the Democrat ticket for the VP post, and who knows when it'll happen again.

We have three comedy venues in our Small Midwestern City, and I can remember zero (0) female comedians performing there. Zero? How can this possibly be?
