FUCKING COMPUTER IS FUCKING TOAST. ERRORS WITH MY GNOME POWER MANAGER. TRIED FRESH INSTALL. GOT NEWERRIRABOUT NO LIVE FILE SYSTEM OR SOMETHING?

research implies it may not be total system fail, just a fuckload of fail, combined with my backup sd of my OS being fouled. which, it worked fineacouple installs ago.

but i can't make a new install card on hq's fucking computer. it wasn't enough that my machine was having physical failure at all possible points, now I have system fail too. I can not fix this with duct tape. I cannot, apparently, fix this with anything I have immediately at hand, until I have access to a machinethat can make a bootableflash. the baby thinks we're playing clue. I'mmaget drunk. fuckfuckfuckfuck

I installed some shit so stinky would have games while we were in the car with no internet, and now, huzzah, I lost my applications menu. I've uninstalled a bunch of shit, and am scouring the net for how to fix this one simply, but it is not looking simple. If I had a usb loaded with ubuntu, i would wipe and reinstall right now, just to be done fucking with it for a minute. and we're leaving town like any hour now, so I can't call my linux guy.
