update on the rock band mic adventures

it powers up on the ps3, so the problem is that the usb out on the ps2 doesn't have enough power, which is FUCKING STUPID because it ha enough to power the drum pads. the fucking 30 dollar powered usb port that we bought and returned didn't bloody work either. so we bought yet another edition of rockband, for 10 bucks this time for our ps3, with which the mic works. just so I could fucking sing, but this edition doesn't have the same batch of songs as the one in the living room, so I had to sing blondie and the chili peppers insead of joan jett and david bowie, but it is still SUPER FUCKING FUN. but the guitar? doesn't work with the ps3. So we have different configurations in each room, and can not guitar and sing on the same system.
this started to get ranty, so I ran with it and it's goiing to be a blog post too.
it's just fucking funny, because the whole music game thing was just a minor impulse buy when I found guitar hero aerosmith for so damn cheap, and accidentally picked up rock band to go with it. then it was so damn much fun, i wanted the mic, but found the drums for 10 bucks. and then bought a mic that only worked with the other system, at whih point it is easier to just buy another rockband disc. I've now spent almost as much as i would have just to buy the package deal, but I am two game discs of music ahead. I wanna pick up as many more discs as I can find dirt cheap.
this present was supposed to be mostly for hq. he's still grooving on it, but it's become a whole family thing pretty quick, especially once I was like oh shit, SINGING AS A VIDEO GAME! I WILL KICK YOUR ASS.
