since upgrading to ubuntu nbr

I can not send email, or watch flash video without a ton of work, or flash games at all. And I have been having sloooooowness issues in firefox.



I mostly love it, and lo! I can install things without going into the terminal, but I am not linux adept enough to fix this shit. Is there a simple fix, or do I need to either learn to linux or talk my linuxgeek friend into fixing it?

This is why i gave up on linux. Like, sometimes the kernel/os would be updated, but the applications are all on their own update schedules and the libraries could be updated for the kernel and cause things to break for months. When they are finally fixed, something else gets out of sync. This is not to say that some local linux geek can't help you.

I wasted an entire weekend trying to get one of my Ubuntu upgrades (I think this was back when Hardy was new, although it could have been Intrepid. All of 2008 is just a blur to me) to speak Flash before giving up and asking my resident linux expert to fix it for me.
