one of the smartest people i know feels he's not qualified to homeschool his kid because he doesn't know much developmental psych, basically.

I'm not one of the smartest people I know, nor do I have any developmental psyche training, but I know my kids, therefore I am qualified. It just hurts me to see parents doubt themselves so hard.

He could always read a text book on developmental psych. That's how everyone else learned it.
