I accidentally froze a beer overnight. am now drinking a beer slushy. It is delicious, but would only work with distinctively summery beers.

I've done that before with stout. (Yes, also accidentally.) The effect is kind of interesting ... I hadn't gotten as far as trying to figure out what beers it'd work best on if I were to do it intentionally. (Then again, I'm somewhat limited in that regard, due to only liking a few of kinds of beer -- mostly stouts and Scottish heavy ales, no lagers at all so far.)

see, i don't think heavy beers like that would work. I used pete's summer cap, and it got soooo refreshing

What does it do to the flavor?

I'll drink nearly anything in slushy form, so long as it's typically fit for human consumption. I don't normally like beer, but I'm now very curious.

It was the kind of beer that tastes best ice cold, so as a slushy it was deicious

Even better than slushy would be a gelato, one thinks. Beer with chocolate mixins! The perfect entry drug for the sugar-lovin' tween!

that would have to be a darker beer to stand up to choclate, I think.
