ong, so there is this musician who I was fucking blown away by for several years here in town in the 90's, like went to dozens of raucous lil coffeehouse and bar shows and then she moved on, and never blew up big or anything, and every few months or so I try to search for her, and knew where she was at the last couple of years, but she didn't seem to be recording, have much online presence besides a couple interviews, etc.


and so something reminded me of her again tonight, so I googled, and found her other name, that I forget all the time, and then a mention that in jan she was coming back to wisconsin under another version of her name, so I started searching under that name, and sweet holy fuck, she's online, with recordings of new material. AWESOME NEW MATERIAL. back in new mexico, but still new material. still doing her amazing thing. holy shit.

It's not much, but given all I have had from her for years was a 7 song demo style release, her one and only cd, and her "official bootleg" and she quite simply is one of my favorite musicians ever, I frequently get depressed at the state of the world that shitty musicians make it big and she hadn't, and she fucking owns. I've probably posted about her before, actually, I just remember ranting about her early shows.
