movie trauma question

Last Unicorn? I picked it up for HQ, but I remember it being really really sad or scary, or something anyway to make me never want to see it again after I first saw it, even though I also remember loving it.

There's scary stuff, but it probably won't bother you now. The story is very sad -- one of those "neither choice is right" stories.

It's a very emotional movie. I watched it again recently and was struck by how heart-wrenching parts of it were even now that I'm an adult. It's also not a particularly fast-paced movie, at least not until the final quarter or so; very young kids might find this a little frustrating, but if they're the sort of kids who get emotionally invested in stories, it won't be a real problem.

Some of the music is god awful, though, and goes on forever.
