started feeling cool about being able to do shit in ubuntu, and got me a big brown screen of near death. I've narrowed down the problem, may have found a fix, but i an not enact said fix because my computer can not produce " proper quote marks, which i need fr the fucking command.

am now on stinky's computer, which i swiped to try to find fixes for mine.

gonna stalk my linux geek tomorrow so he can fix it.
