(no subject)

new ubuntu karmic koala installed, feeling good about the results. considerig i do not know what i am doing, really, i am getting good at this shit, knock on wood. with the 4 gig drive being where the oss ran, i could not update, so I had to install it from a sd card I made bootable, from fresh. which means everything I failed to back up to the bigger drive, like, say, all my fucking firefox bookmarks and settings and shit, is gone, but the new ubuntu seems shiny, all my video glitchiness is gone, and hey, everything I fucked up hacking around in the last os trying to free up some space, its like it never happened. my hardware problems, otoh, continue, because there aint shit i can do until i can buy a new keyboard/screen, so i go on wih SHINY os and splotches and no punctuation. but im digging the shiny. i shall report on my enjoyment of the



also, i think i do say shit even more than i say fuck, which seems odd, but is what turns up whenever i do a word cloud thing

dream

i dreamt it was wiscon weekend, but my landlord had sprung a surprise visit to fix shit, so we had to frantically clean and fix water damage and missed a bunch of the con. then what time I had at the con, i was showing some new person around, so didnt get to do much con stuff, except hang out in the new consuite, where johnny depp and like 2 other hot motherfuckers were hanging out, askars maybe, and I kept mentally flailing about the slash potential, while still freaking out that I had missed karaoke and a whole day of the con, and that my landlord was gonna see the water damage. how the hell do even my depp slash dreams turn into landlord and missing the con anxiety dreams?

then I woke up with aching hips because pobo took like 80 percent of the bed and left me no room to roll over
