y'all who are shocked and outraged, or find it unlikely, that the police/dhs/other authorities would beat the shit out of someone for not kissing their ass hard enough and then arrest them for resisting? srsly? I mean, I know it doesn't usually happen to white canadian middle class guys, but that is the only part that is not business as usual in this shit.

Based on conversations I've had in the past, a lot of people seem to be of the "the police wouldn't do that if the person in question didn't bring it upon themselves." It's no surprise how it goes from that to outrage when it's a white guy experiencing it.

I've had this exact conversation about the overuse and abuse of tasers.
