we are literally three pieces of paper away from having the place, and one of those three is the lease. So yeah, we got it.
but.
after realizing we were still short those paper bits, we asked if we could have another look at the place, because Z still had not seen it.
Z does not love it. The loft is smaller than I thought, and he's not sure it's gonna have room for a bed and his music gear. So we looked at the other unit with the bigger loft, and he hates the kitchen there. I still think there is plenty of room for his damn gear, but he is not convinced, and does not have a giant happy about this place now. aaaaargh. and will apparently not tolerate the substandard kitchen.
But I have talked him down, and said that if he can't fit his gear comfortably in the bedroom we can skip having a damn dining room, eat at the island/bar in the kitchen, and the dining room can be his gear space. I think once we start fitting it in, though, he'll see there is just enough room. He also thinks he saw a drug deal in the parking lot while I was talking to the rental agent, but whatever.
I made a call on one other place that has a fucking 4 br for what we were gonna pay for three, but I doubt they still have a 4 open. So Z is going to have to suck it up, I'm taking the place.
