I was just talking in another friend's journal about how important it is for me to write through the crap--just to get shit out, b/c I can edit things later but I can't if there's nothing to edit. So... even if your intro is crap, which it may or may not be, you've started, which yay!

(I hope that doesn't sound condescending??? I've been having a lot of convos about this stuff as various ppl start 750 Words, etc., so this may seem heavy-handed out of the blue, ack.)

it doesn't sound condescending to me, it sounds about like what I am thinking. Just getting something down gives me something to work on.

This book scares me though, now that it's brewing. It's complicated, and I just don't know if I am a good enough writer. How do you know if the opening to a book is any good?
