the crossposting thing

okay, i get why it is upsetting, but to me personally it's not a HUGE deal. My FB and lj/dw identities have been connected forever now, and for a while on and off I was crossposting my public entries to FB anyway. Obvs though, I'm trusting my flist not to crosspost comments on sensitive entries, especially since my legal name and this name are all tangled up together, and I do post some sensitive stuff. I've already been walking a fine line about having my business turn up on fb, and since my fb is like 30 percent OLD friends and family, I don't need to broadcast what few secrets I have to them.
I'm excited that people from fb can comment on my lj now, but I still wish there was a way to allow certain fb people access to my locked stuff without them having an lj/dw. but only certain people.
really, it is nothing but wrong that comments from locked posts can be crossed. I do not understand why that seemed like a good idea to anyone, let alone to enough people to implement that shit.
FTR, I've been importing the comments from my lj into my dw for a bit now, in case that is problematic for anyone as well.
