Interesting coincidence

The writer who recently stole a bunch of ideas from a fabulous blogger of color (who up and quit over this shit, apparently,) is published by the company that said some really dumb shit on another blogger of color's blog.

I'm not saying, at all, that these things are directly related, but I will say that I am less than inclined to believe that that publishing press gives a warm shit about WOC.

Apparently, Seal Press was also behind the clusterfuck that was Love and consequences.

I didn't know that. And now that I finally see what the hell covergate was about, well, lets just say that Pandagon will join feministing as blogs that I will no longer patronize.

I used to work for Seal's distributor and I had a couple of friends move to Avalon and I think may still be there, low on the editorial food chain. I will have to see what they think about this drama. It's been a while since I paid any attention to the publishing industry at all...
