that changing your relationship status on facebook to complicated means you are trying to let the whole internet know you are "available" and want nothing to do with the person you have listed as the other half of your relationship. I thought I was trying to be more honest but still too tactful to switch it to separated. I switched it back, so we can go back to pretending on facebook that nothing is happening. He's such an asshole

Given what you've said about your FB-persona, perhaps you could leave any FB-facing issues for later?

Yeah, it just bugs me because there are a lot of people who only are in contact with me on fb and it feels like I am hiding it from them
