I'm really shaken by the Duanna Johnson thing. not that I knew the woman, I'm just extra outraged by how much this looks, well, convenient for the cops. and then it makes me thing about Felicia Melton Smiths murder earlier this year, and again, I didn't know her, but in her case I knew her work, and my mom knew her.

I don't even have anything articulate to say, I'm just trying to send out love and protection to all my trans* friends, and thinking I need to look up an old friend and see how she's doing.

I just wish more people were talking about this - it looks extremely convenient for the cops, to the point that it's a horrible travesty that the police are apparently not investigating the men who beat Duanna last June. :(
