A used g3 low end iBook, or a new Acer Eee?

or if I throw an extra hunnert bucks in, a used g4 that a friend has offered me a free airport card for? But I', leaning towards the cheap.

I'm mac loyal, yeah, but new=warranty and shit. and the Eee runs linux, so I won't have to fuck with windows. But is Linux, like, hard if I"m so used to mac OSes?

The Eee really appeals to me, but would be the only non mac machine in the house, compatibilty issues?

The Eee is a pretty limited machine, to be honest. I'd go for the G4, but that's just me.

How soon are you looking to buy? I just got a lead on two used 12" iBook G4 machines that'll be on the market soon.

next couple/three weeks, I guess. Z's looking to get a laptop too, and is committed to a G4, so I'd love the details on those.
