Man are you kidding mothers love that stuff. My mom cries every time she talks to me but all her students know exactly who I am, because she loves to tell them shocking stories about me.
(I've recently decided to start messing with her a little more. She gets upset no matter what I do, anyway, so I could walk on eggshells all the damn time or I could laugh it off and get the exact same result. I dunno if that's what you're doing but I think it is not unreasonable.)
Besides, parents raise us and feed us and clothe us but they also tend to screw us, even unintentionally, to such a degree that I think we are entitled to a little bit of fun at their expense.
