I just heard the news, Madeline L'engle is dead. I'm actually crying. I could not tell you the last author whose death had an effect on me. Or any famous person. If you had asked if I had an emotional attachment to her, I would have said "no, just to her books." But I'm mourning her. Trying to keep the kids from seeing me cry.
