so i threw a party

and it went okay. Had a whole lot of kids here for a while, but then all of one crew left at once, and then there was only sort of a lot, but it was consistently a good group of people, mostly old friends, and people seemed to have a good time.

My kid's birthday parties have kinda brought together some old friends who had lost touch with each other, first just two for a few minutes at hq's, and then last night one more was brought into it, and this time they all had more time to talk, and for their partners to get to know each other, and a couple of them were also old friends of my neighbor, and she came by for a bit, and that was awesome, and it just kicked ass to get to hang out with a bunch of people I like in my house.

I'm going to throw more parties, but they may have to be potluck or byob, because parties are expensive.
