who knew Z or saw us together see it coming at all? I'm getting reactions from my friends varied from total disbelief and insistence that they never saw any sign of trouble, to absolute lack of surprise, with comments about how long it had obviously been wrong, and I'm wondering what it looked like to outsiders.

I'm also wondering what he's telling people now, but honestly, if they're down to believe him over me, fuckem.

I never met either of you, and only know you from here (and knew of Z from here), but I do have to admit that some of your posts over the couple of years I've been following your journal struck me as red flags. I will say that I am not surprised that this has happened.

I had very little idea that this was coming, but then I don't know you all THAT well (and I know Z only from what you've written here). When people notice stuff, it's often for random reasons, too -- they saw something very similar happen, they overheard something, or they just notice everything.

Anyone who takes five seconds to think about it will realize that your two stories may vary. Fuckem, indeed.

(My ex's current spouse has said that they don't ever want to meet me, presumably because of the way(s) I behaved towards the ex. To me, that says a shit-ton more about my ex and his current spouse than it ever does about me. Fortunatley, it hasn't messed up any social arrangements more than once or twice, in very minor ways.
