the baby now not only sings her favorite bits from rent, but does choreography from it. She's got one leg up on the playpen railing, wailing "nanananaOoooOOOOOout, Tonight."

an was doing to opening from today for you at the playground today. She's even got a special scarf for when she's being mimi, and was prancing around going "Wanna prowl, be my night owwwl" while flouncing the scarf around. I'm never gonna get my good mom badge, since technically my two year old is pretending to be a stripper.

I don't have a mimi icon?

We took The Cheat to see the movie in the theatre, when he was five or six months old. During "Out Tonight," I glance over to look at him where he was sitting, in Michael's lap.

Waving a dollar bill in the air.

Good story!

When my granddaughter was 3 years old, she was singing a song for my mom. (this was about nine years ago). My mom looks up at me and asks, "What is she saying?" um... that is the Uncle Fucker song from South Park ...

My mom's response was, "oh well, maybe it will be like she is with sugar. She got to have all that she wanted of it, and now she doesn't really want it at all. Maybe if she can say all those words now she won't say them later because they won't have so much allure."

I loved the whole exchange, and it is nice to be reminded of it. Your child sounds quite charming!

I knew all the words to the movies Hair and Rocky Horror. At age 5 I would go around singing "Sodomy" and "Black Boys." My Father was appalled and demanded to know where I learned those songs. My Mother happened to be right there and said, "It's from a musical. She can sing anything she wants as long as it's from a song. Mwahaha." Ok, she didn't say "Mwahaha" but she might as well have. I didn't know what any of the songs meant so, you know, you're still a good Mom.
