maevele | yay, chosen family!

So, historically in my family, tgivin tends to be a thing these last few years. My exstepdad would usually do a spread and expect us to show, even though he never made anything vegetarian, so we'd go there and then ditch out to my friend K's real thanksgiving dinner with waaaay too many people. She's been too busy the last couple years, and I'm still all disowned and shit, so last year we reverted to our old ways, grabbed my mom and went out for chinese (we've done that since my grandma was alive, because she and the exstepdad din't get along so great.)

So, this year my mom is going to her brother's which is like the least kidfriendly place ever, so I was just gonna throw down with a big dinner and invite our friends who don;t celebrate holidays unless we organize it for them. But, just as I was starting to realize I did not want to cook a whole big dinner for 6 fucking people, we got invited to spend it with some good friends. Which means I get to cook and bring only those things I enjoy cooking, and spend the day with people whose company I truly enjoy, instead of my or z's fucked up family. Yay!

We've decided to do the winter holiday like we did last year, we'll make a bunch of fod and people can come to us. I'm sooo sick of hauling ass around to all these "obligations." being disowned rocks!
