about the karaoke

I am a giant dork. GIANT. Last time I went to the bar, I made a list of a good thirty songs they had that I might be willing to sing if I had practiced. So then I set up a grooveshark list based on that and other stuff I remember them having, and now I can just listen to the 38 potential songs I might do and practice them until I know which ones I own at. HAH!
It is really hard to narrow it down much from the 38. I don't know if I will be in the mood for showtunes or metal, or angsty sexy crap. Also, if anyone else wants my notes on which bandom songs they have, or what chicksinger stuff they have, let me know. ONE ani difranco song. ONE. and not one I sing.
ETA: Have now narrowed it down to 14 songs I might want to do. I really love karaoke, But I need to get it down to like 5, so I don't hog the mic all night. More than 5 would be rude. I really should just get out to the karaoke bar more so I get to do them all.
