also: i know my kid is bratty. if yours is worse, don't make fucking excuses, ADDRESS THE BEHAVIOR. I am constantly on his ass to get him to not make people miserable. it's possible that everyone is an asshole. I'm thinking fuck everyone here, i'm moving to nevada. or washington. anyplace where there's work, decent cost of living, and no one i hate yet. i'd say Oregon, because, hey, i found the man a potential job there, even but i know people there, and i'd rather not grow to hate them like i hate everyone i'm around. there are, i admit, like 3 people here i don't hate.

I so understand and agree with the point you are making! When my son (now a responsible adult) was between the ages of 11-15 we lived in a horrible small town where the school system was very backwards. (430 kids K-12th grade -- very small school system!) My son was only two years out of a two year stay in Mendotta and, admittedly, had a lot of problems. My husband and I were up at the school almost every week in conference. The other kids would pick on him terribly bad (horribly racist names and such), but when I would complain the school authorities would point the finger back at my son. My attitude was, "When he does something wrong; punish him. When the other kids do something wrong; punish them. Do not allow the other children to get away with emotional abuse just because my son has some problems!"

It got bad. By the time I -- and my lawsuit -- was done with that town the superintendent took early retirement, the principal resigned (he was originally hired as the principal because he was the track coach, ond ou

One of the most annoying human habits is talking about how ill-behaved other people's kids are. What I'd really like is a cross between a paintball gun and a laser, to be able to say "Stop, you're being an idiot!" to other people -- especially other drivers. No one would ever want to shoot it at ME, of course.
