Dec. 6th, 2008 09:36 pmIs it normal to charge money for sunday school? cuz I had no idea, and had just signed him in and traipsed off to church like 4 times now, and no one ever said anything about fees. And today the class leader sent me to talk to the coordinator, who asked if I had registered, and I was like, "I guess, I filled out the form the chick gave me the first day" which was not the right form. So we finally figured out he's not registered, becaue I was supposed to pay money. Which is not a big problem, just had not occurred to me at all, because I know shit about church, and what sunday school I went to as a kid was for poor kids, obv. So I had never heard of paying for sunday school, and looked like a damn fool in front of the admin chick, for having no idea. Yay me.

Date: 2008-12-07 03:51 am (UTC)This is UU, I'm assuming. It does not surprise me that a UU church would also charge tuition for religious school, but they should realize that people will not expect it, and make it clear up front rather than springing it on people.

Wait, no. My family's Catholic church charges for VBS. But most of the churches around here do not.
