why, when looking for a guest voice for the Backyardigans, they'd pick Roger, from Rent? Is there crossover appeal that I don't get? are there other kids who are geeks for both Rent and Backyardigans? Or is it just random as fuck?

The Backyardigans has music and choreography done by Broadway people, so I would guess that someone who works there is friends with Roger.
