maevele | again with the US version of shameless

It's really growing on me, to be honest. It's got really everything I love about the original, almost, and if I love some of the characters less so far, it's kinda made up for by the fact that it's set in chicago so more close to home for me. The small changes they make to americanize it actually work, so it becomes a picture of midwestern poverty class life. I find it weird that they raised the number of PoC on the show but seem to be paying even less attention to racial tensions. I'm liking the unknown actors a lot more than the "names" so far. It's a little glossy though.
Also, I am considerably drunk. I painted my nails black, and now it looks weird when I type.
